Sunday, December 8, 2002 Dr. Brian Durie and Susie Novis of the International Myeloma Foundation will attend a special meeting for our support group 5:00-7:00 PM at the Ralston House. The meeting time coincides with their visit to Philadelphia for the American Society of Hematology annual meeting.
Dr. Durie will discuss recent developments and novel therapies for the treatment of Myeloma and answer audience questions.

Saturday, March 9, 2002 The International Myeloma Foundation is pleased to present the OMNI Network: Living Well with Multiple Myeloma 1:30-3:30 PM. The OMNI Network is a collaborative effort between the IMF and oncology nurses. It is designed to provide ongoing support to those affected by myeloma. Presented by local oncology nurses, the program shares current information about the link between multiple myeloma and bone health.
Saturday, November 10, 2001 Sarah Kagan, PhD, RN, the Doris R. Schwartz Assistant Professor in Gerontological Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, will give a presentation with slides titled, "Seniors Coping with Multiple Myeloma: How to Take Better Care of Ourselves." Her research interests include the care of older adults with cancer and other chronic illnesses which produce symptoms that can alter the quality of daily living
