Philadelphia Multiple Myeloma Networking Group

The PMMNG organizes and sponsors an annual 5K Walk/Run to help raise funds for myeloma research. Over the last 4 years, upwards of $800,000 was raised locally! The Miles for Myeloma 5k Walk/Run will take place on Saturday,April 25, 2009 along the scenic and beautiful Schuykill River in Philadelphia. Start time is 9:00 a.m.

This year, the PMMNG has joined forces with the Central and Northern New Jersey MM support groups to increase the exposure and turnout of the Miles for Myeloma 5k but we still need your help to reach our goals!

If you are interested in becoming a part of the organizing committee, volunteering at or before the event, or would like a listing of committee or volunteer descriptions, please contact Karen Horan at karen.horan@verizon.net.

This year we anticipate over 400 participants and need you to reach our $75,000 goal! Please join us by either walking, running, volunteering, buying/ selling raffle tickets or joining the PMMNG team! You can also sponsor the PMMNG team by making a donation in honor of a loved one. Registration information and additional event details will be posted shortly.

The event is a fun, hope-filled day celebrating the MM community, paying tribute to patients, caregivers and everyone impacted by the disease.
